are you a farmgirl too?

Mary Jane Butters. She is awe-inspiring. A hero in my eyes. She lives life as though we are all a part of the earth, inspiring others to live simply, in a sustainable way. I only wish I could be like her. But seeing as how I am far from a green thumb, I just like to look at her life book, (which I am getting for my birthday from my husband!) and wish I was that cool. Some of us are, and some of us try. I am the latter. But every small step counts, and I suppose making the homemade marshmallows she has in her life book has to be some sort of a start, right?? I really am going to make them because they just sound way too good, so I'll let you know how they go...

Yep,
I wish I was more of a farm girl too! :) But you could remember your maiden name and then you'd have a "green" thumb! I'm trying to make homemade bread instead of buy it at the store, is that a start towards being a farmgirl? I use cloth diapers too, and hankies. Someday I'll have the garden and maybe chickens and maybe maybe a goat or two! But for now, those things will have to do.

Thanks for introducing me to Mary Jane...lovely site and so inspirational. I know I should have lived on a farm...maybe I did in another life.
